You are important and what you have to say matters! Taking the first step to looking for counselling tells me your mental and emotional wellbeing matters to you. You are not willing to sit by and let challenges control you; instead, you are a fighter, a survivor, a resilient human being wanting better for yourself.

It is important that you feel supported, heard and connected to the counsellor you will work with. To better understand if I will be the best fit for you, please take the time to look at the services I offer, and read more about me and my approach to counselling.

After graduating, I apprenticed under two Chinese doctors, both experts in their field of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. {Doreen Hill is Board Certified, and licensed through the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA)}
I have been in private practice since 2004, and I will take the time to thoroughly investigate your condition and use a combination of herbal and homeopathic therapies plus has a particular focus in Acupuncture for natural beauty, rejuvenation and health.
MicroNeedling: Skin Repair and Anti-Aging
You’ll see obvious improvement with the best facial treatment for aging skin. Imagine a face-lift or skin repair without painful surgery!
Doreen has natural, chemical-free solutions for you. Using the principles of acupuncture and modern technology, you can see excellent results with MicroCurrent therapy or MicroNeedling, MicroCurrent Treatments.
MicroCurrent and MicroLight are advanced methods of vibrational medicine with many powerful applications for medicine, rehabilitation, and esthetics. Lines, creases, and scars can be reduced or even eliminated with Microcurrent with immediate results, and no downtime. Needles are not used on your face, instead extremely low electrical current is gently applied to your skin and underlying muscles.
By stimulating these tissues and acupuncture points, Doreen is able to lift, tone, and re-educate the facial muscles. Microcurrent stimulation triggers a chemical reaction at a cellular level to enhance the production of natural collagen and elastin to:
reduce fine lines and wrinkles
restore youthful complexion
enhance blood and lymph circulation
The result is immediate firming, smoothing, and rehydration of the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
MicroCurrent is also very effective in treating scar tissue and skin rehabilitation. It can provide a positive effect on:
discolouration
pigmentation issues
scars from acne
stretch marks
An often-used alternative to Botox, harsh peels, and uncomfortable treatments, MicroNeedling has proven to be a safe and effective procedure for skin repair and anti-aging. Using a SkinPen® device with very fine short needles, tiny punctures are created that promote skin rejuvenation.
Why MicroNeedling is recommended by many:
Little downtime – perfect for a busy schedule.
Pen process is versatile MicroNeedling – the Natural recovery
Safe for all skin types – clinically proven for light to very dark skin
Comfortable a light numbing cream will be used to minimize discomfort.
The treatment stimulates your body’s natural wound-healing process while minimizing cellular damage. To rejuvenate from the inside out, your skin will go through three phases after the tiny wounds are created:
Inflammation: Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to cleanse the wound, remove debris, increase blood flow, and begin the production of new tissue.
Proliferation: The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, and a new network of collagen fibers and blood vessels develop.
Remodelling: The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels. The result is effective remodelling of your skin tissue while keeping the overall structure of your skin intact. package pricing available

What is Trigger Point Dry Needling (TPDN)?
Dry Needling is defined as the insertion of needles into tender points in the body without the
injection of substances. It is a therapeutic technique used by healthcare professionals, typically
physiotherapists, to manage and alleviate muscular pain and dysfunction. Trigger Point Dry
Needling (TPDN) involves inserting a thin, solid filament needle directly into myofascial trigger
points within the muscles, which are tight knots or bands of muscle fibers that can cause pain
and restrict movement.
What is the goal of the Trigger Point Dry Needling technique?
The goal of TPDN is to release these trigger points by stimulating them, promoting relaxation of
the affected muscles, improving blood circulation, and reducing muscle tension.
What happens during Trigger Point Dry Needling?
The insertion of the needle can trigger a twitch response in the muscle, which can help in
releasing the tension and improving muscle function. TPDN aims to target and resolve specific
muscular issues, providing relief from pain, improving range of motion, and enhancing overall
muscle function. It is important to note that TPDN should be performed by trained and skilled
practitioners to ensure safety and effectiveness.
